Based in Coylton, Ayrshire Precision is a key business supporting employment in a rural community that invests time and training to produce skilled craftspeople. Our business support team has an ongoing relationship with the company and was keen to help Ayrshire Precision’s plans continue to grow and innovate through a combination of grant support and specialist business advice.

We helped Ayrshire Precision to access grant funding through the “AMBITION to Grow” programme, which facilitated the purchase of specialised kit to increase their capability and capacity which would help both grow the company and safeguard jobs in the local community.

“We have worked with the South Ayrshire Council’s business support team for a number of years, but our latest engagement with them came after we heard they had started a supply chain programme. This was interesting to us as we supply to so many different industries and were keen to look at how we could increase our capabilities.

“Following a first meeting to hear more about the new programme, we were linked with one of the Business Gateway advisers to talk about how they could support our desire to increase capacity. We were delighted to be approved for an ‘AMBITION to Grow’ grant allowing us to buy an automated robot machine loader, which will have a really positive impact on increasing our capacity as an organisation.
